case: the juvies are a group of students living in the student hostel and they are an exclusive group. Ching, a freshman wants to join their clique but was politely but firmly refused by them. she persisted, and they started calling her names like "pet" and asking her to "shoo away". they hung vandalised photos of her in their room, and deliberately left the door open knowing that she will walk into their room to see the insulting pictures. they mimicked and mocked her while leaving the window open, knowing that she will be listening to their conversation. this made Ching distressed and upset.
question: have the juvies committed an offence under section 13A- miscellaneous (public nuisance) act or are there any defences available to them?
